Brandon spoiled me rotten! I got a dozen long stem roses delivered to me, some of my favorite treats and he bought 'Breaking Dawn' on DVD and said he'd watch it with me! Wahoo!

Happy LOVE Day!
We sure do love Valentine's Day at our house! It holds a special place in our hearts. Our first Valentine's was spent apart. We had just started dating and I was getting ready to take a girls trip to New York City, which would be during the week of Valentine's, so Brandon and I decided to celebrate early. We exchanged little gifts and he bought me 2 dozen roses -- but the thing that made it so special for us is that it was the first time we expressed our love for each other. So, there I was a few days later on Valentine's Day, standing on top of the Empire State Building ... thinking of the man I had just fallen head-over-heels in love with! And he was home ... wating for me to get back. That's what makes the holiday so special for us.
I never really know what to do for Brandon for THE LOVE DAY, but this year I got him some treats, wrote cheezy love notes on them, and left them in spots for him to find as he got ready for work that morning.
We ordered out for pizza and for dessert I made yummy fondue!
What a great day! Happy Valentine's Day to you too!!

Holidays and Ordinary Days
We've had a fun January - mostly wondering when it's going to snow! Here's the latest on some HOLIDAY FUN and Ordinary Days at our house lately.
Holiday Fun: We rang in the NEW YEAR with a quiet night at home. We ordered take-out and watched a movie. I think we were in bed before the New Year - what a couple of fuddy-duddy's we were this year. I didn't even get a picture!
For Martin Luther King Jr. Day - me, my mom, my sister and her kids went shopping and then out to eat at the most delicious place - their cookies were the best!
Ordinary Days: I love when the weather gets colder so I can wear a scarf every day! One of my most favorite (and comfortable) accessories!
Happy New Year!

More Holiday Fun: We went out to eat to celebrate our 3rd anniversary of our 1st date! Any excuse for a fun date night!
Ordinary Days: We love to leave love notes for each other. Here's the latest one Brandon left on the door to find before I went to play at preschool! He's so sweet!

Our Happy Holidays
I can't believe Christmas came and went so super fast! But it sure was fun! Here's some highlights from our Splendid Season!
We made Gingerbread Houses to kick-off the holidays! We went to my sister's house for a yummy dinner and then got out the hoards of candy for the houses!
...And on to the jolly holiday itself! Since our church was at 9:00am, we opened our presents to each other after church. But we did have a bit of time to peek in our stockings before heading off to church.
After church ... on to presents! My favorite tradition of ours is 'Love Letters in the Tree'. That's always the first thing we open on Christmas morning. It's nice to talk about our love for each other, the past year and our hopes and dreams for the future together. A perfect way to start the day!
Brandon spoiled me rotten! He got me a gorgeous ring! It's a white gold with a sapphire and 3 diamonds on each side. I LOVE IT!!!! I got Brandon a bunch of BYU stuff, some DVD's and games!
We went to my mom and dad's house later for lunch and more presents! It was so fun!
My parents got us a beautiful picture of our Temple; a picture that I have been drooling over for almost a year!
All-in-all ... everything was perfect! Time with those we love, giving fun gifts and remembering our precious gift from Heavenly Father!

The Happiest Place on Earth!!!
A couple of weeks ago, Rachael went to
Disneyland with her family!!!
Brandon wasn't able to go, that poor boy! But it was so much fun! The weather was perfect, no waiting in lines, time with family -- the only bummer was missing Brandon terribly, but being in Disneyland helped make up for it!
Heres' some of my favorite pics of the trip:
Ready to go in on the first day!
My mom, my nephew, and me
Waiting for Toy Story Mania ride
Me and my sis in front of the HUGE Christmas tree
Best CornDogs in the world!
Can't wait to go back!
