Summer Lovin'

Oh, what a fun summer we've had!  It's been jam-packed full of good times!  We started the summer off by saying 'bye-bye to the binky's'.  One day they all just ended up broken.  Maya did so well with it, if she saw a 'broken' (cut) binky we encouraged her to throw it in the garbage.  She really seemed to understand that the binkys were broken and we didn't have too much trouble.  Whenever she asked where it was we reminded her it was 'broken' and she just went on with whatever she was doing.

We also spent a fun day at Lagoon with family!

More summer fun included:
Above left to right: watching parades, bye-bye binky, swimming with cousins, potty-training, Maya's best cousins she asks about every day, nickle arcade, drive-in movie, bowling, our nephew's wedding.

Yep, you read one of those right - Maya is potty training!  Maya was more ready to start than I was so we figured it was time to start. :)  She was already going potty in the morning, and getting out of the bath-tub to potty, plus she liked wearing panties so we went for it.  She is doing so well and has a rare accident here and there.  What a girl!

Summer Fun

Wow, what a fun summer we've had so far!
Time together is always the best!
Maya has had a lot of fun helping me and Grandma clean at the park.
We've loved spending A LOT of time outside - sidewalk chalk coloring is the best!
Maya is getting quite adventurous climbing everything in sight!
The splash pad is always a favorite spot to hang out!
Maya loves helping me weed the flower garden (and smell, and pick the flowers)
Rachae's brother and sister (and their families) came to visit from out of state, so we've
had a lot of FUN family time!
Independence day was a blast trying to find a good spot to watch fireworks.
Checking out the carnival booths
All of the cousins enjoying Lagoon together!
We're only missing 2 nephews who are serving religious missions for our church.
Maya is now big enough to ride the kiddy rides at Lagoon - she was so excited!

12 Weeks Old

Guess who is 3 months old? This little beauty!

Time goes by too fast -- our gorgeous Maya is growing and changing every day!  Here's a bit of our life in instagrams since bringing Maya home!

More recently my sister and her family are here visiting for a few weeks - so Maya has been enjoying a lot of family/cousin time!  These kids sure do love being together!

On Thursday we went to Lagoon!  It was a super hot and super fun day!  Maya loved it!!  Her first ride was the train with Aunt Nan.

We feel so blessed every day to be the parents of our precious girl!

And this smile melts my heart!  She sure loves her mom and dad too ... one happy family!
