Easter 2016

Maya was pretty excited for Easter this year, many days (unbeknownst to us) she would get her hands on some jelly beans and hide them around the house pretending to be the Easter Bunny, we were finding hidden little jelly beans around the house for weeks!
With all of her goodies from the Easter Egg Hunt at preschool!

This little artist really got into painting Easter Eggs (and her hands) this year!

We each picked one of our favorite eggs for a pic!

Easter Sunday!  So happy the Easter Bunny filled her basket and even brought
her a new swimming suit!

Guess Who turned 2!

Happy Birthday to our girl!  We can't believe she's 2 years old already!

I guess time flies when you're having fun!  Maya is growing fast!  She loves all things Disney, loves to be outside, seems to love the color blue (calls every color 'blue'), enjoys reading, playing in her kitchen, is a serious thinker, still is attached to her stuffed puppy Diesel (and her binky), loves to tease, has the best laugh, and she is very thoughtful.

On her birthday we took her to the Aquarium.  She loved every minute of it!

Then that Sunday we celebrated Easter, her birthday, and her cousin's birthday with the family! Birthday cake, presents, and the best Easter Hunt from Grandma!

We hope everyone had a fun Easter weekend!

Happy Easter!

We hope everyone had a happy Easter!  We spent the our Easter Eve putting our mad-skills to work decorating eggs!

On Easter Sunday we went to Mom & Dad's and had a delicious Easter Dinner, celebrated my nieces birthday, made resurrection rolls, and my mom put on her annual awesome Easter hunt for the kids!
Our Easter Baskets filled with Easter treats - glad the Easter Bunny stopped by!
The kids ready to get the Easter Hunt started!
Our Resurrection Rolls - See the empty roll?  Our marshmallow Jesus is gone!
Great and yummy way to teach the kids about the meaning of the holiday.

St. Pats & Cozy Weekend Fun

We hope everyone had a happy St. Patrick's Day!  We sure did - we celebrated the green day and my niece's birthday that day with family ... and now Easter is right around the corner.  Crazy!

This weekend has been a quiet one - we woke up to SNOW on Saturday morning (yes, snow)!!  This weather is crazy here this year.  We had sun, wind, rain, and snow all this week!  But the snowy weather kept us home having a quiet day/night together!

We stayed in our pajamas most of the day ... so nice ... and had a little face-time chat with some cute kids!

I made some yummy banana bread b/c we had some overly ripe bananas ready to use.

And, I got a much-needed haircut!  I'm back to my old (and favorite) haircut ... been waiting (about 6 months) for my hair to grow out just enough to get it all chopped off again for this haircut.
